Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to appointments booked with Stevenage Chiropractic Clinic ("we", "us", "our") and to payments made to us, including payments made online through our website. By booking an appointment or making a payment, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

Stevenage Chiropractic Clinic, 17 High Street, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG1 3BG.
Tel: 01438 722 255 · Email: stevenage.chiro@btconnect.com

Our chiropractors are registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and are members of the British Chiropractic Association (BCA).

2. Booking appointments

  • All appointments are booked by phone on 01438 722 255. Our email address is for admin correspondence only and cannot be used to book.
  • Your appointment is confirmed once we have agreed a date and time with you by phone.
  • Please arrive a few minutes early for your first appointment. If you arrive late, we may need to shorten your appointment so that other patients are not kept waiting. The full fee will still apply.
  • Patients under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who will be asked to give consent for assessment and treatment.

3. Fees

  • Our fees are shown on our current price list on the home page, and we will confirm the fee for your appointment when you book.
  • Reduced fees are available for patients aged 65 and over and for children. Please ask when booking.
  • After your first consultation, your practitioner will explain the costs of any recommended further care before it begins.
  • We may review our fees from time to time. Any change will not affect an appointment you have already paid for.

4. Paying for your appointment

  • New patients can pay for their first consultation online, by phone or at the clinic. Other appointments are paid at the clinic on the day unless agreed otherwise.
  • Please only pay online once your appointment has been booked by phone.
  • Online payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. You will receive an email receipt once your payment is complete.
  • Card payments will appear on your bank statement as "STEVENAGE CHIRO".

5. Cancelling or changing an appointment

  • If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please give us at least 24 hours' notice by phone on 01438 722 255.
  • If you give at least 24 hours' notice and have already paid, we will move your payment to your new appointment.
  • Appointments that are missed, or cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, are charged at our missed appointment fee (currently £45). If you have already paid, we will keep the missed appointment fee and refund the balance.
  • We understand that genuine emergencies happen, and we may waive the missed appointment fee at our discretion.
  • If we need to cancel or move your appointment, for example because a practitioner is unwell, we will contact you as soon as possible to rearrange. If you have paid in advance, you can choose a new appointment or a full refund.

6. Refunds

  • Refunds are made to the original card used for payment and usually take 5 to 10 working days to appear in your account.
  • If, after your consultation and examination, your practitioner decides that chiropractic care is not suitable for you, we will refer you to your GP or another appropriate specialist. The consultation fee remains payable for the assessment carried out.
  • Fees for appointments that have taken place are not refundable, except where required by law.
  • Orthotics deposits are non-refundable once your custom orthotics have been ordered, as they are made specifically for you.

7. Private medical insurance

If you are claiming through private medical insurance, please tell us when you book and check your cover and any authorisation requirements with your insurer before your appointment. Unless we have agreed to bill your insurer directly, you are responsible for paying our fees and claiming them back from your insurer. If your insurer does not pay for any part of your treatment, the balance is payable by you.

8. Consent and your care

  • Before any treatment, your practitioner will explain their findings, the proposed treatment, its benefits and any risks, and will ask for your consent. You can ask questions or withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Please tell us about any changes to your health, medication or circumstances, as these may affect your care.
  • We cannot guarantee a particular outcome from treatment.

9. Your information

Your records are kept confidential. You can read how we collect, use and protect your personal information in our Privacy Policy.

10. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please speak to us or write to us using the contact details above and we will do our best to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the General Chiropractic Council at www.gcc-uk.org.
